Cross-generational friendship

Never your
own age.
Always new.

Bridge is the only app that matches you exclusively with people from other generations. A Boomer meeting a Gen Z. A Gen X meeting a Millennial. Real conversations that don't happen in your own bubble.

How Bridge works

Three steps to a new kind of friendship.

No dating. No vibes. Just intentional introductions between people from different generations — then real meetups in the real world.

1

Build your profile

Tell us who you are and who you'd like to meet. Pick interests, activity preferences, and which generations you're open to — anything except your own.

2

Connect across generations

Swipe through profiles from other generations only. Bridge literally will not show you anyone your own age — that's the whole point of the app.

3

Meet in real life

When you both Connect, propose a meetup at a public venue — coffee shop, park, museum. Then close the app and have a real conversation.

Only across generations.
Never your own age.

Every other social app is built for people to find others like them. Bridge does the opposite. If you're a Millennial, you'll never see another Millennial. If you're a Boomer, you'll never see another Boomer. The generation gap is the feature.

What makes Bridge different

Built for friendship,
not engagement.

Every design decision on Bridge optimizes for real friendships between people of different generations — not screen time.

🌉

Cross-generational only

Bridge hides your own generation from every search. Every match is someone from a different generation — a Boomer, a Gen X, a Millennial, or a Gen Z that's not yours. No exceptions.

💬

Conversations that matter

Built-in meetup planning. Propose a time and place in one tap. Messages are for logistics, not endless back-and-forth.

📍

Public venues only

Meetups happen at coffee shops, parks, bookstores, and museums — public spaces surrounded by people. No private addresses, no bars or clubs.

🛡️

Safety woven in

Public venues only, friendship-first defaults, and one-tap report & block. More safety features on the roadmap as we scale.

Safety by design

Meet new people.
Thoughtfully.

Meeting strangers requires trust. Bridge is designed from the ground up around friendship-first defaults and public meetups.

📍 Public venues only

Meetups happen at coffee shops, parks, bookstores, and museums — places where you're surrounded by other people. No private residences, no bars or clubs.

🧭 Friendship-first defaults

No dating framing, no romantic filters, no late-night messaging nudges. Bridge is built for coffee and conversation — not the patterns you'd expect from a dating app.

🚨 Report & block

Something off? Report or block in one tap. We review every report and take action on violations of our community guidelines.

🛡️ More safety features coming

Verified profiles, live meetup check-ins, and trusted-contact alerts are on our roadmap. As Bridge grows in Bend, Boise, and Seattle, so does our safety infrastructure.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can I match with people my own age?

No — and that's the whole point. Bridge automatically filters out your own generation from every search, every match, and every suggestion. If you're a Gen X, you'll never see another Gen X on the app. Every connection is at least one generation apart.

Is Bridge a dating app?

Absolutely not. Bridge is explicitly built for friendship — there's no flirting, no swipe-for-looks, no "vibes." It's designed for meeting people across generations for coffee, walks, shared interests, or conversation. Romantic content is against our community guidelines.

How are generations defined?

We use the standard generational cohorts: Gen Z (1997–2012), Millennials (1981–1996), Gen X (1965–1980), and Boomers (1964 and earlier). Your generation is assigned automatically based on your age during onboarding.

What if I feel uncomfortable during a meetup?

Bridge is designed around public-venue-only meetups (coffee shops, parks, bookstores, museums — never homes, never bars), friendship-first defaults, and one-tap report & block. As we scale, we're adding verified profiles, live meetup check-ins, and trusted-contact alerts.

When is Bridge launching?

Bridge is launching first as a web app you can install to your home screen — works on iPhone, Android, and desktop. Native App Store and Play Store versions come later in 2026 once we've scaled our first cities.

How does Bridge make money?

Two ways, both transparent: (1) Bridge+ subscriptions from users who want extra features, and (2) venue partnerships — cafés, bookstores, and museums pay a monthly fee to become Verified Partners of Bridge. Verified Partners can host Bridge events (book clubs, tastings, mixers) that Bridge+ members attend free. No ads, ever. No selling user data, ever.
